Performing & Fine Artists, Writers & Poets Wanted

Levantine Cultural Center seeks to identify, promote and cross-pollinate with a wide range of contemporary fine and performing artists
(including musicians, composers, dancers, actors, comics), as well as writers and poets, who may have roots in the Middle East or Mediterranean cultures,
from Afghanistan to the south of Spain's al-Andalus.

Writers, Poets, Playwrights, Photographers, Illustrators Wanted

Part of Levantine Cultural Center's web initiative for the future is an online magazine, Levantine Review. In order to create a "zero" issue and plan for future ones:

We are seeking original and previously-published feature stories, essays, travel pieces, short news items, interviews, profiles, op-eds, book reviews, music reviews,
short stories, drama, poetry, original illustrations, photography and art which in some way connects to, or is a reflection of an aspect of Middle East/Mediterranean cultures,
history, art, design, philosophy, etc.

The work may be from an avant-garde/experimental or contemporary viewpoint; or it may deal with something more traditional. If in doubt, simply query.
Payment for the first year is in-kind (free event admissions and other fringe benefits) and publication bylines only.

To query or submit original or previously published materials, contact: Editors, Levantine Review, 323.650.7010, info@levantinecenter.org. Mailing address: 8424A Santa Monica Blvd., N. 789, West Hollywood, CA. 90069.
